Use our all terrain vehicles (ATVs) to get to parts of Africa that you can't get to with any other vehicle. Drive yourself. You require no previous experience. Fully supported with very experienced Ugandan guides. Ride free, a warm African breeze on your face and all your worries blown away.
After comprehensive training and preparation, you will find yourself exploring the beautiful stretches beside the River Nile, from the source at Lake Victoria, north towards Lake Kyoga. Safaris range from 1 hour to 4 days. No minimum number on trips less then 1 day and we can schedule them to run at any time that suits you. Starting from our base at Bujagali Falls – East Africa’s adventure capital. These trips, in addition to the excitement along the way, will take you deep into rural Uganda. At times by the river's edge and often traveling along narrow tracks through village and farmland. Experience a warm Ugandan welcome from the people that you will meet en-route.
We have PRACTICE CIRCUIT and ADVANCED CIRCUITs at Bujagali Falls. Everyone gets a free training/practice session. Most of our clients have not ridden a quad-bike before. We will show you how to safely. The advanced circuit provides an opportunity for those as want to, 'spin up the wheels and let loose on the jumps'. On the longer safaris (3 hrs +), after you have developed your skills we can provide more technical sections with hillclimbs, stream crossings and swamp sections. WILD or MILD – you choose. Bring a camera, there are many beautiful sections. And remember – THE WETTER THE BETTER – mud is good fun and we clean you up after!
The practice circuit also provides a venue for the 'KIDS QUADS'. These smaller, fully automatic machines are very easy to ride and bucket loads of fun. The circuit provides a safe, supervised venue for individuals and groups (e.g. birthdays, school groups, a special treat…). If the children are too small to ride themselves they can ride with Dad, Mum or our guides on one of our family trips.
Protective clothing is supplied; overalls, helmet, goggles, bandana and gumboots (or wear your own closed footwear). Bottled water is carried by the guide who also carries a first aid-kit, sun-block and insect repellant. We use a guide ratio of maximum 1:5 so with larger groups we can split up along the trail to cater for various ‘tastes’, be it sightseeing cruise or tackling difficult sections at a faster pace.
We run our trips to suit you. Start times normally between 9.00am and 5.00pm (Twilight Safari). There is no minimum number on any of our shorter safaris (i.e. less then Full Day) and no cancellation fee except for the Twilight which if cancelled after the meal has been ordered and our partners in the village have started preparing the banquet, you must pay them for the meal, you will have to pay them (UGX10,000/= only).
MULTI-DAY Roar of De Nile ATV SAFARIS: Two and three day trips from Bujagali Falls follow the River Nile downstream and overnight at the Hairy Lemon island getaway. Banda (cottage) and dormitory options are available. Your overnight bag is carried with you on the ATV. We supply picnic lunches, fruit juice, mineral water and Quad-Biking along the Nilesnacks through the day. Dinner and breakfast at the Hairy Lemon restaurant. Fresh overalls each day.
WILDRIDE GAMEPARK SAFARIS: Explore Lake Mburo National Park with our team on your own quadbike instead of stuffed in a van. Extra quiet ATVs allow you to ride with zebra, topi, warthogs, bushbucks, eland and impala (there are no elephant or lion in this park but many other African animals and birds. A 4 day all inclusive package that includes transfers from Bujagali Falls and Kampala. One of the most exciting and interesting trips that you will ever do.
GOOD ACCOMMODATION ranging in price from US$5 to US$120 is also available in the area. There are three sites beside us with restaurant and bar facilities. And our DeNile Café is here to look after the inner person.
OTHER ACTIVITIES such as; White water rafting, Kayaking, Bungee Jump, Horseback Safaris, Mountain Biking and a zip wire over the Nile are also options while at Bujagali Falls.
