Kayegi Hotel is located in what is known as the ‘Mbale Senior quarters’ part of town some 5 minutes drive from the center itself. The hotel has magnificent views of the Wanale mountain range that guarantees a temperate climate with low humidity. The hotel provides an ideal setting for both conferences and workshops where we offer a secluded, quiet setting for seminars and retreats for any organisation or company.

Mbale is an ideal starting point for tourists interested to venture into the Mount Elgon region. A short walk from the hotel will bring you to the offices of the Uganda Wildlife Authority where professional advise is to hand to help you prepare for your visit to Mount Elgon and the Sipi Falls.

Conference Facilities

Kayegi Hotel offers a pleasant and conducive environment for workshops, retreats and seminars. We have a 70 person (all seated with desk) or 150 person (all seated without a desk) purpose built conference hall.

Conferencing and banqueting facilities are comprehensive, offering the perfect setting for full-scale conventions, sales presentations, directors' meetings and any other business-oriented function. We have the latest in audio-visual technology and, as you would expect, the catering and communications services are every bit as legendary as the hotel.

Visit the Hotel Business Center for all your stationary work from printing, photocopying, scanning and faxing services all equipped with the latest in telecommunications and computer technology.

The hotel can accommodate a variety of functions in its banqueting and conference suite. From small private dinner parties, anniversaries, cocktail parties and office dinners all can be organised to your taste.

The Open Garden Restaurant and Bar

The Grass Thatched restaurant and bar is open to the public and offer a snack menu and cold drinks.

Recreation:

Day trips can be organised from the hotel to the Wanale range, that include walks and visits to waterfalls and caves,. It is also possible to visit communities along the trails so you may interact with the local people. We also organise day trips to Sipi Falls and are a base for those under taking longer duration treks on Mount Elgon .
